EDITORIAL STANDARDS
Useful information begins with honest sourcing.
These standards govern the immigration news, process guides, and educational articles published by Original Documentation.
Primary-source reporting
We prioritize current materials from responsible government agencies and official publications. When a policy is proposed, announced, effective, paused, enjoined, rescinded, or expired, the article should say so clearly and include the relevant date.
Original work and practical value
Articles are written in our own words and are intended to add useful explanation, organization, and practical preparation steps. We do not copy government pages or publish content merely to attract search traffic or display advertisements.
Accuracy and updates
Each article displays a publication or update date and links to supporting sources. Material corrections should be made promptly. Older guidance may remain available for context, but readers should always confirm current forms, fees, addresses, deadlines, and policy status before relying on it.
Independence and advertising
Editorial conclusions are not purchased by advertisers. Future advertisements will be visually distinguishable from navigation and editorial content. We will not ask readers to click advertisements or promise immigration outcomes.
Educational boundary
Published content is general education, not individualized legal advice. We do not decide eligibility, create an attorney-client relationship, or replace a licensed immigration attorney or authorized representative.
Corrections
Send a correction request with the article title, the statement at issue, and a supporting official source to bintoculars@gmail.com. Do not include confidential immigration records or government identification numbers.
